01

Problem

Our Destiny Employment Services is a Government of Nepal-registered foreign employment consultant. Since 2007 it has sent Nepali workers abroad. For most of that time the live record was paper.

A demand letter named the foreign employer, an approval number, the dates, the country, and how many men and women were needed, along with pay, food, housing, and costs. One copy stayed in the folder, another went on a notice, and a third was typed into a message. When the end date passed, the wall copy could still be up. Applications were clipped to those letters, with seen, called, or rejected written in the margin. The ready pool was a second pile of CVs. If the website mentioned someone, it did not update itself.

Approach

The paper desk became one staff-run website. Public pages and the office panel share the same records. Only staff sign in. Visitors can read and send a form. There is no employer login and no candidate login.

A demand is entered once: foreign company, approval number, dates, country, and each job with separate counts for men and women. Pay and benefits stay on that record. It can sit as a draft, open for applications, or close when the date is done. Closing it is a status change, so nobody hunts every copy that was pinned up.

While a demand is open, a candidate sends name, email, phone, a short introduction, the job, and the country. Staff mark it reviewed, shortlisted, or rejected. The form does not take passport scans, certificates, or medical papers. Those stay in the physical file.

The CV list stays separate. Staff write profiles with photo, experience, skills, and how soon someone can leave. The public list shows only people marked available. An application answers who responded to this demand. A public profile answers who the office can show an employer today. Country guides, articles, and short notices are edited in the same staff area.

Version one leaves out document uploads, employer and candidate accounts, live dashboard totals, and unfinished company and settings screens.

03

Stack

One Next.js site covers the public pages and the staff panel, so a published demand cannot drift from the row the office just saved. MongoDB holds demands, applications, worker profiles, countries, articles, notices, and staff accounts. Staff sign in with email and password on a day-long session. Google reCAPTCHA sits on apply, contact, and login. Gmail sends contact-form mail to the office and a short reply to the sender. Applying for a job writes a database row and does not send mail.

Outcome

Staff enter a demand once, then open it or close it. People apply only while it is open, and that application stays tied to that demand. The workers list on the site is the available slice of the CV file, not a second list someone retypes each week.

Scans, medicals, and the calls after shortlist still live in the paper file. The site is the index and the public face. When a demand closes, the public notice closes with it.
